Europa Cycle & Ski is hosting a ride on Saturday, October 11, 2008, beginning at 10:00 am at Gateway Park in Cedar Falls. This is Trek's 3rd year hosting this event. Last year over $42,000 was raised. Europa is joining forces with others throughout the U.S. to raise awareness for breast cancer. Our local ride will be in memory of Lisa Hunemuller, a Cedar Falls teacher and cyclist, who died last summer of breast cancer.
There will be two ride options, 10 and 25 miles. Helmets are required. The registration fee is $25, and 100% of the fee is donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This is not a fund raiser ride that requires seeking donations.
